Shea Winters

for me, creating art isn't just a choice its expression, sheer survival, when I cant speak, when everything's too overwhelming, when I'm in that dark pit and cant get out of bed, I can still pick up a pen and sketchbook. I draw or write the things I cant say or do for the people I love. that's how I know that to my core, I am an artist- because when everything's crumbling, I still create. my work is raw, passionate, personal and charged with everything I feel too deeply to keep in, its how I stay alive, how I make sense of the chaos, how I stay grounded and connected to the world around me, this year has made me realise my ambition, confidence and passion to produce, preform and eventually publish my own work. particularly through combining written and poetic work with abstracted & non figurative techniques.
