Emma Luckham

Throughout my Art and Design Foundation course, I have developed a range of strengths that have supported my growth both creatively and academically. I am a creative, determined, ambitious, and hardworking individual who is always willing to challenge myself and explore new ideas. These strengths have helped me stay motivated during projects and continue improving my design abilities. My main aspiration is to unlock my full creative potential and expand my interior design skills by experimenting with different concepts, styles, and techniques. I am passionate about creating meaningful spaces that reflect both functionality and creativity. One of my greatest achievements during this course was successfully completing my final project, which allowed me to demonstrate the skills and knowledge I have gained throughout the year.

The weight of perfection.

In my painting, the figure’s extremely thin, the body stands for how the desire to look “perfect” can become harmful both physically and mentally. The title connects to the artwork by showing that perfection is not something positive.
