Aleksander Kuras

I am a London-based filmmaker with a primary focus on camera work, bringing experience as a Director of Photography, Camera Operator, and Gaffer, alongside a working knowledge of editing. I have contributed to a wide range of projects, including commercials shot on both 16mm film and digital formats, as well as graduate films spanning multiple genres such as drama and documentary.

Through this work, I have developed a strong technical skillset and confidence in handling professional equipment, including film loading, as well as a solid understanding of visual storytelling, composition, exposure, and lighting design. My experience across different roles has also strengthened my ability to collaborate effectively within a crew and adapt to the creative and technical demands of each production.

I am deeply passionate about cinema and storytelling, and I continuously seek to explore new techniques and approaches from a cinematography perspective to best serve the narrative.
