Hey there! I'm Andrea! :)

I'm a Mexican animator and filmmaker with a background in graphic design and illustration. This MA is my first deep dive into animation, and I've completely fallen in love with it! It's given me a whole new set of tools to tell stories in all shapes and forms. I'm especially drawn to the ones that matter, the ones that don't always have easy answers, but are worth telling anyway.

My short film is a tribute to a Mexican environmental activist killed for defending the Monarch butterfly sanctuary in Michoacán, and through it, I found my own voice as a storyteller. I'm excited to keep exploring what that voice can do, across all kinds of media.
