A snap from A Cruise on the Ouse - Mr Fish's journey from source to sea down the River Ouse meeting the locals, exploring the ecology, and learning the rise of River Rights in the face of sewage spills.
Mr Fish
Wildlife Filmmaking (MA) 2026
Harry Fishlock, or 'Mr Fish' as most know him, is an Ecologist/Conservationist/Filmmaker of the wildlife variety. He has a background composed mostly of scientific research, Ecology consultancy, horticulture and whatever happens to be creeping up behind him. Mr Fish has been known to frequent the lakes of West Africa, the jungles of Panama and the shores of the Seychelles on assorted expeditions and has a particular proclivity for remote islands such as Flat Holm, Frégate and Fair Isle as well as lesser-loved organisms such as spiders and seagulls.
His competencies include (but are not limited to) presenting, self-shooting/editing, data handling, scientific/pre-production research, ecological surveys, poetry, the spoken word, making coffee and writing in the third person.
Currently working on 'A Cruise on the Ouse', a wildlife documentary about the first river in the UK to get rights.

The Cruise Crew
The merry band who set out one drizzly day to bring the River Ouse to the screen, raising awareness of pollution and the fight for river's rights across the UK.
Poaching
A short (three minute or so) film on the virtues of poaching - don't hate it till you try it. Filmed one afternoon as a submission for an MA assignment.
HARRY
A photography and videography project produced in collaboration with London/Copenhagen photographers Luke & Nik. Published in Nicotine Magazine 2025 and premiering on Nowness later this year (2026).
