Natalie Hancock

Natalie is a filmmaker, wildlife biologist, and dive instructor with extensive remote field experience. Her work includes several years with the Division of Sea Turtle Science and Recovery at Padre Island National Seashore in Texas, alongside dive instructing and wildlife monitoring across multiple countries and coastlines.

Her conservation work across communities and environments has shaped how she approaches storytelling. She's drawn to wildlife stories rooted in place and human connection. Her current project, Manos en la Mar, is set in a small fishing village in Baja California, following a mother and daughter moving beyond a generational fear of the water.

Looking ahead, she's interested in projects that prioritize impact from the outset — furthering conservation alongside the communities she works with, and telling wildlife stories authentically and accessibly to audiences far beyond the usual circles.
