Part of an ongoing project with image-maker, Dean Davies.
My styling concept explores the way bodies are gendered through fashion. Inspired by philosopher and gender theorist, Judith Butler; I used styling and casting to explore gender stereotypes within fashion and show how one singular body can be gendered in multiple ways. I utilised my background in textiles to elevate the styling; the orange sleeves/jacket, green trousers and green shorts, are all designed and made by me through the altering and repurposing of existing garments.
These images, alongside Dean’s work with other collaborators, will result in a published photo-book and an exhibition
