Alyn Smith

I am an Illustrator and printmaker based in Cardiff, UK. I create printed paper goods included, greetings cards, postcards, limited edition prints and artist stamps.

My practice surrounds the idea of creative play, looking at ways in which I can create images in a fun and engaging way using simple print techniques such as rubber stamping and stencilling.

My visual aesthetic is heavily influenced by mid-century modern graphic design and illustration. The playfulness, optimism and bold use of colour mixed with a strong feeling of nostalgia relate well to the themes of positivity in my work.
