Connie Wilson, Bicycle
Each year, UWE Bristol supports one graduating student from Fine Art or Drawing & Print to attend the East Bristol Contemporary (EBC) Day School – a year long alternative education programme. After an open call, this year the bursary has been awarded to Drawing & Print student Connie Wilson.
Jack Lewdjaw, co-director of EBC said: “We were blown away by Connie’s work, it’s a pleasure to offer her the UWE bursary, and we are excited to partner with UWE for another year”.
Day School offers artists a shared studio space alongside monthly education days with guest artists, support and advice for work and careers, and other professional development opportunities, community projects and social occasions.
Connie says: “I’m looking forward to meeting other people in the local community and seeing how their approach/experiences can influence my own practice. I’m also really excited about getting comfortable in a gallery setting and learning more about how everything works!”
